Tony Romo obviously understands that the Dallas Cowboys offense’s potency and perhaps even its productivity will be hamstrung due to the presumed lengthy absence of Dez Bryant in the coming weeks and perhaps months after the receiver underwent surgery to repair the fractured fifth metatarsal in his right foot.
But to hear the veteran signal-caller explain it, all the team has to do in the interim as they wait for Bryant to return is to stay the course and continue to run the offense as it is designed.
“Even when Dez is here, you go where the reads take you,” Romo said.
