The Philadelphia Eagles had arguably the best safety tandem in 2015 with Malcolm Jenkins and Walter Thurmond topping off the secondary. The Eagles gave Jenkins a four-year contract extension last month, so he’s sticking around, but they are likely going to lose Thurmond to free agency.
Luckily, they’ve already found his replacement.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Eagles have signed former Rams safety Rodney McLeod to a five-year, $37 million deal with $17 million guaranteed.
At 5’10”, 195 pounds, the 25-year-old McLeod is small for a safety, but plays like a man possessed.
