With the Philadelphia Eagles heading into their final preseason tuneup Thursday against the New York Jets, Tim Tebow reportedly has given a good enough accounting of his skills and potential that he might end up out-dueling Matt Barkley for team’s third-string quarterback spot.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport, appearing on the NFL Network said all indications point to Tebow making the Eagles’ final roster and that it likely will come down to how each perform in Thursday’s preseason game, although Tebow appears to have the inside track.
“In Philadelphia, it appears it’s going to be Tim Tebow vs Matt Barkley for the final quarterback spot,” Rapoport said, via NJ.
