Report: Eagles will work out former AAF starting quarterback

The Philadelphia Eagles are set to work out former Alliance of American Football quarterback Luis Perez next week, according to a report from NFL insider Adam Caplan. Former AAF players are eligible to sign with NFL teams now that the league is essentially over.

Perez, 24, measures in at 6-3, 222 pounds. In eight starts for the Birmingham Iron, Perez completed 52.3% of his attempts for 1,465 yards (5.6 yards per attempt), five touchdowns, six interceptions, and a 65.9 passer rating. He rushed 24 times for 75 yards.
