Report: Eagles were the only team to contact police about Reuben Foster’s latest arrest

The Philadelphia Eagles were the only NFL team to contact the Tampa Police Department regarding the recent arrest that caused the San Francisco 49ers to release 2017 first-round pick Reuben Foster, according to a report from USA TODAY’s A.J. Perez.

The fact that the Eagles looked into Foster’s situation shows they had some level of interest in the 24-year-old linebacker. Philadelphia was not seriously interested enough to put a waiver claim in on him, however. If they were, they would’ve been the team to successfully claim him instead of Washington.
