According to Jimmy Kempski, the Philadelphia Eagles are releasing WR Mack Hollins, and promoting OG Sua Opeta from the practice squad.
This move probably fits the ‘too little, too late’ mold. Hollins was a fourth-round pick in 2017 and actually flashed a relatively high upside. The UNC product caught 16 passes on 22 targets for 226 yards and a memorable touchdown against the Redskins.
Hollins would have to endure offseason surgery on a torn groin in 2018, an injury that he recovered from in time for camp, only to tear his other groin, sidelining him for the entire year.
