The Philadelphia Eagles are releasing linebacker Alex Singleton, according to a report from NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Dave Zangaro.
Singleton is a noteworthy cut due to how he really stood out in the preseason. The former Canadian Football League tackling machine logged 24 total tackles, two tackles for loss, one quarterback hit, and one forced fumble in four summer games with Philly. Singleton also showed out on the third phase with three special teams tackles, which ranked second on the team.
The Eagles had a tough decision to make between keeping Singleton or undrafted rookie free agent T.
