The New Orleans Saints are interviewing Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks coach Doug Nussmeier for their offensive coordinator vacancy early this week, according to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
This news hardly comes as a surprise; it’s been widely assumed Nussmeier will be following former Eagles OC Kellen Moore to New Orleans. The two have overlapped at three different NFL stops:
- Dallas Cowboys from 2018-2022
- Los Angeles Chargers in 2023
- Philadelphia Eagles in 2024
Additionally, Nussmeier’s son — Garrett Nussmeier — is the starting quarterback for LSU.
