Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks coach Doug Nussmeier and the New Orleans Saints are “working to finalize a deal” to have him become the offensive coordinator on Kellen Moore’s coaching staff, according to a report from Josina Anderson.
Earlier on Tuesday, Saints reporter Nick Underhill noted that it “sounds like Doug Nussmeier is the favorite to be the Saints offensive coordinator, I’m told. Not done yet, but things are moving in that direction.”
Nussmeier to New Orleans has basically been expected ever since the Saints hired Moore. The two have been working on the same coaching staffs together dating back to the 2018 season.
