According to a report by Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the Philadelphia Eagles have hired ex-Bears college scouting director Marty Barrett as the team’s West Coast Scout. Barrett isn’t the first former member of the Bears’ scouting department to be hired by the Eagles this offseason, he joins Dwayne Joseph in Philadelphia as well, who served as the Bears’ associate director of pro personnel.
Here’s a bit more on Barrett regarding his history with the Bears and some of his more impressive draft picks, courtesy of Briggs:
Barrett worked for the Bears for the last 18 seasons and was promoted to college scouting director under former general manager Phil Emery.
