“As soon as Jacksonville decided to keep two quarterbacks, I told (David Caldwell), the (general manager) over there, that I wanted to be in Jacksonville, hopefully I’ll be able to come back on the practice squad with those guys and we were saying if anything happens, where another team claims you, obviously I had the opportunity to come here and be on the active roster,” Morris said. “It kind of worked out in both ways.”
Morris was signed as a rookie free agent following the 2014 NFL Draft and spent a lot of time on the practice squad last season.
