Police union official claims LeSean McCoy sucker punched officers

As the investigation into former Eagles running back LeSean McCoy's alleged involvement in a nightclub fight approaches the two-week mark, a Philadelphia police union leader is taking issue with how the District Attorney’s Office is handling the case.

“I’ve never waited this long, ever, to see somebody arrested,” John McNesby, president of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5, told WIP’s Angelo Cataldi Friday morning. “So, it doesn’t pass the smell test. Something’s funny going on.

McNesby didn’t mince his words about McCoy’s alleged role in the altercation, which left two off-duty officers injured.

“It was an all-out beat down,” McNesby told Cataldi.
