The Philadelphia Eagles have found their franchise quarterback.
Jokes.
Per ESPN’s Adam Caplan, McLeod Bethel-Thompson is going to sign with the Eagles. The 27-year-old will likely be nothing more than a camp body, but if he’s lucky, maybe he could make the Eagles as a third string signal caller.
Bethel-Thompson is about as nomadic as a professional athlete gets. After going undrafted in 2011 out of Sacramento State (following a transfer from UCLA), he’s played for nine different football teams. His destinations are as follows:
- San Jose SaberCats (2011)
- San Francisco 49ers (2011, 2013, 2015)
- Sacramento Mountain Lions (2011)
- Miami Dolphins (2011, 2014)
- Minnesota Vikings (2013-2013, 2014)
- New England Patriots (2014)
- Los Angeles Kiss (2015) m/
- Philadelphia Eagles (2016)
That’s quite a track record for Bethel-Thompson.
