Once we all heard the New York Jets and the now-former Philadelphia Eagles Vice President of Player Personnel Joe Douglas weren’t too far apart in terms of their negotiations, there had to be something inside of you that said the Jets would bend, and Douglas would get his money.
Here we are, not even 48 hours later, and the two sides have found a way to make it work. The Jets bluffed. Douglas called it, and when both sides laid their cards down, the guy who helped Philly orchestrate their last three drafts got what he wanted.
