The day has finally come. Nine months ago, we got our last glimpse of in-game action with Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz as ‘Number 11’ threw a team record 33rd touchdown pass while standing on a torn ACL and LCL.
Surgery came, rehabilitation followed and on September 17th, every Eagles fan got the news that they’ve been waiting to hear for quite some time. Wentz makes his long-awaited return on Sunday, September 23rd versus the Indianapolis Colts.
Perhaps that’s why, when the initial lines on the game dropped, Philly was being seen as the favorites to leave Lincoln Financial Field on that day with another check mark in the win column.
