Philadelphia Eagles sign a safety with a great nickname

The Philadelphia Eagles signed free agent safety Deshawntee Gallon on Monday morning, according to an official announcement from the team. The roster is now back to being filled at the 90-man offseason limit heading into Thursday night’s game against the New York Jets.

Gallon’s nickname is “Ironhead.”

That’s fantastic. #Analysis.

The 24-year-old Gallon measures in at 5-10, 203 pounds. He played college football at Georgia Southern before going unselected in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Gallon signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted rookie free agent in May 2017.
