Philadelphia Eagles Rookie Eric Rowe Could Play Major Role in Secondary

(Philly.com)

Second round pick Eric Rowe hasn’t appeared in a single NFL game, but the Philadelphia Eagles are already moving him to a different part of the field. Rowe was ticketed for an early season depth role on the outside, mixing in with the likes of Byron Maxwell, Walter Thurmond III and Nolan Carroll at the corner position.

After the team traded Brandon Boykin to Pittsburgh and fellow rookie JaCorey Shepard went down with a torn ACL earlier in the week, the plans for Rowe have shifted in quick fashion, as the Eagles are now trying out the former Utah star in the nickel slot vacated by the loss of those two players.
