For a moment, it seemed as though the Philadelphia Eagles were going to be able to keep Joe Douglas around for another year. Since bringing Douglas into the picture after the 2016 season, the Eagles have had to do some blocking from other teams who wanted to interview Douglas. While they have succeeded in doing so in the past, they couldn’t prevent it from happening this time around as the New York Jets were totally on board with hiring Douglas.
The Eagles have had three solid offseasons with Douglas on board. As Howie Roseman’s number two, Douglas has been equally as crucial to the front office’s success of drafting and acquiring players through free agency and trades.
