Philadelphia Eagles’ Eric Rowe The Best Fit To Play Nickel Cornerback

Last week Philadelphia Eagles rookie JaCorey Shepherd went down with a torn ACL after the team traded away veteran standout Brandon Boykin. Not only was this a hit to Shepherd’s development as he was one of the more impressive rookies this camp, but it also hurt the Eagles depth at cornerback.

There are plenty of options to replace Shepherd, but none that Chip Kelly and the Eagles would have preferred. By the looks of it, the Eagles are going to move second-round pick Eric Rowe inside to the nickel cornerback spot, something that the team didn’t want to do.
