The Philadelphia Eagles‘ new defensive line coach, Phillip Daniels, is a fan of rookie defensive end Shareef Miller. He’s also in a very unique situation. He has a shot to have a very successful season in his first full season as the guy.
Philly shed the word ‘assistant’ from his title back on February 8th after three seasons in that position and after Chris Wilson‘s contract expired. The next thing you know, Daniels’ job is to try and help guys like Vinny Curry and Brandon Graham enjoy success in the latter stages of their careers and to help the younger guys like Derek Barnett, Josh Sweat and the newly drafted Miller as they try to capitalize on all of this talent they possess.
