The Philadelphia Eagles‘ defense hasn’t been the same since future Hall of Fame safety Brian Dawkins departed and signed with the Denver Broncos in 2009. Since then, the Eagles have looked to guys like Quintin Mikell, Nate Allen, Sean Considine, Patrick Chung and, of course, the crown jewel of disappointments, Jaiquawn Jarrett, to solidify the defensive backfield. Needless to say, that did not happen.
But after many trials and tribulations over the last six years, the Eagles’ defense has finally returned to an elite level.
