The Philadelphia Eagles’ defense in 2014 was a huge letdown. It was almost like a bad prank, only deep down you knew that the cameras weren’t hidden and the crowd really wasn’t being punked. It was painful to watch, particularly the home stretch of the season in which the Eagles melted down en route to missing the playoffs entirely. Chip Kelly has spent a ton of money and resources re-tooling the defense this past offseason, and with a little luck the Eagles are going to shock the NFL with their vastly improved defense.
