Philadelphia Eagles ailing after discouraging loss to Seahawks

The Philadelphia Eagles were beaten, both literally and figuratively, against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

Several key players left the game with potentially significant injuries, including Darren Sproles, Ryan Mathews, Halapoulivaati Vaitai and Leodis McKelvin. Multiple other players exited the game Sunday, but were able to return to action.

Doug Pederson said Sproles is dealing with a rib injury, but it isn’t expected to keep him out of Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers. Mathews, however, is day-to-day with a knee injury, which could mean the Eagles will use a heavy dose of Kenjon Barner and Wendell Smallwood against the Packers.
