Lost in the Philadelphia Eagles offseason, and there is a lot to digest, is the fact that the Eagles were a couple plays away from not only winning the division, but potentially being the number one seed in the NFC. Hindsight is always a beautiful thing, particularly for sports fans. But the fact remains, for all the concerns about the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense, the offense crumbled in some of the most critical spots last season. The re-tooling of the offense has focused on that aspect, and should be markedly improved in the red-zone.
If there was one series of downs that personified the 2014 regular season for the Philadelphia Eagles, it was the final four red-zone downs against the San Francisco 49ers in week four.
