2019 now marks the third season in a row where the Philadelphia Eagles will lose running back Darren Sproles to multiple games. This time, Sproles is dealing with a quadricep strain that currently has him listed as ‘week-to-week,’ according to Doug Pederson.
While the Eagles will be okay without their third running back, they are in a bit of trouble without their return specialist. As we know, Sproles’ most significant contribution comes on special teams. While he’s not the same punt returner he used to be — he’s still the Eagles best option ever since they cut DeAndre Carter last year — and it’s not even remotely close.
