After an NFL Combine, the draft, rookie minicamp, OTAs, training camp, the preseason and four regular-season games, the Philadelphia Eagles sit at .500 with a win-loss total that has two games on both sides. Professional football is truly unpredictable.
Then again, a quick trip around social media might reveal that a .500 record is exactly what some die-hard Eagles fans were expecting. Many thought Carson Wentz would need to get back in the swing of things after his latest injury in 2018 prevented him from completing a second-consecutive regular season.
Wentz would also sit out of four preseason games before stepping onto the field for his first regular-season game versus the Washington Redskins.
