The Eagles announced contract extensions with special teams cogs Chris Maragos and Jon Dorenbos, something that mad Eagles coach Doug Pederson very happy.
"We're just so excited to have these two guys locked up for the next few years," Pederson said. "It makes me sleep at night, having a longsnapper with Jon's experience."
Maragos, who turns 30 in January, got a three-year extension, as did Dorenbos. Maragos is a safety and leader of special teams that rank at or near the top of the NFL in nearly every category. Dorenbos, 36, will surpass Harold Carmichael (162) as the franchise recordholder for consecutive games played by the end of the season.
