For Doug Pederson, being a first-time NFL head coach obviously comes with an incredible amount of responsibility. He’s working with the personnel department to prepare for April’s draft, laying down the foundation of his offensive system and preparing to meet the full team for the first time on April 4, among a list of many other duties.
One thing he doesn’t have to overly concern himself with, however, is the Eagles’ defense. He’ll certainly have a role in creating the depth chart and finding the right players to fit the scheme, but when it comes to driving the car that is the Eagles’ defense, Pederson is ready to hand over the keys to Jim Schwartz.
