At the start of the 2018 NFL season, the Philadelphia Eagles found themselves in uncharted territory – that of reigning Super Bowl champions. They dominated the 2017 campaign, going 13-3 with MVP-caliber play from the team’s star quarterback Carson Wentz. When he went down in Week 14 with a horrific knee injury in true Philadelphia fashion, the team embraced their underdog role, despite being the #1 seed in the NFC. They would eventually go on to beat the New England Patriots in an absolutely thrilling Super Bowl LII bout.
