North Dakota is still rooting for the Wentz-less Eagles

Imagine living in a state without a single NFL team in any nearby cities. Who do you root for? Whose jersey do you buy? Fortunately, that would never be a problem in Philadelphia. But for Eagles’ quarterback Carson Wentz, that was an issue among the population of his hometown in Bismarck, North Dakota.

During his tenure at North Dakota State University, Carson Wentz has become the face of the state. All of his local success made him a celebrity not only in Bismarck but in Fargo, North Dakota as well. Despite playing in a small school that was pretty much unknown to many before 2016, Wentz was able to make himself the second-overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft.
