Nolan Carroll scanned his other options in free agency before determining a one-year deal with the Eagles was his best fit. He likes the organization and city, plus there’s a starting cornerback job available – if he’s healthy.
Carroll, 29, started 11 games for the Eagles last season before breaking his fibula on Thanksgiving. He has been cleared to rehab, which is the process Carroll is in right now.
“Right now, I’m feeling good; I’m feeling healthy,” Carroll said. “As far as doing everything, I’m cleared to do that. There’s no point rushing to set myself back.
