Nick Foles injury: Eagles quarterback hurts chest in Week 17 Redskins game

UPDATE: Good news for Foles — and the Eagles — it looks like the team is optimistic this isn’t a long-term injury for the quarterback.

Nick Foles was having yet another good game for the Eagles against Washington, tying an NFL record for consecutive completions (25) and putting the team up 17-0 heading into the fourth quarter. But then, the quarterback was taken down on a sack by Ryan Kerrigan and ended up being taken to the locker room to be evaluated for a chest injury.

It seems like the chest injury may have been a bit of carryover from the big hit he took last week from Jadeveon Clowney against the Texans that sidelined him for one play.
