The Washington Redskins are set to host the Philadelphia Eagles at FedEx Field at 1:00 pm ET this Sunday.
However, Hurricane Juaquin may also be coming to town. The NFL is currently tracking the hurricane’s progress as it moves northward after blasting through the Bahamas.
“We are monitoring the forecast and having dialogue with both teams,” said Greg Aiello, the NFL’s senior vice president of communications (via The Washington Post)”:
At this time, Aiello did not say exactly what prospective scheduling alterations are being discussed. And, spokespersons for the Redskins and Eagles both declined to discuss the details on contingency plans.
