Veteran QB Alex Smith mentioned in an interview with Graham Bensinger that he expects to be playing elsewhere in 2018.
“For sure,” Smith said when asked if he felt like this would be his last season in Kansas City, via Pro Football Talk. “It absolutely does. Without a doubt.”
The Chiefs traded up to get Patrick Mahomes in the first round of this year’s draft, so the clock is obviously ticking for Smith in K.C.
“It’s a tough pill to swallow,” Smith admitted. “It’s like, man, [we] could’ve added this or this or this position or this player.
