NFL Draft Results: Eagles trade back and pick Clayton Thorson

With the 167th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select ... Northwestern quarterback Clayton Thorson. Huh.

The Eagles were originally set to pick at No. 163 but they traded down several spots. The New England Patriots sent picks No. 167 and No. 246 to Philly.

Thorson, who turns 24 in December, measures in at 6-4, 222 pounds. He completed 58.4% of his college attempts for a 6.3 average, 61 touchdowns, and 45 interceptions. Thorson scored 27 rushing touchdowns on 1.1 yards per rush attempt. Those aren’t good numbers.
