Milton Williams is leaving the Philadelphia Eagles in NFL free agency to sign a four-year, $104 million contract with the New England Patriots, according to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport. (Note: It was previously reported that Williams was joining the Carolina Panthers but that reporting turned out to be premature.)
Williams is now the NFL’s third-highest paid defensive tackle with an annual value of $26 million. He ranks only behind Chris Jones and Christian Wilkins.
Williams leaving Philly is unfortunate for the Birds but it is not unexpected.
