With Philadelphia Eagles training camp set to begin, we have some very BIG news to report.
Michael Bennett will no longer wear the No. 77 jersey he wore for the three days of Eagles minicamp he attended back in June. (Hat tip to BGN’s own Cody Benjamin.) It’s the end of an era.
Instead, the 32-year-old defensive end is now going to wear No. 95, which was previously donned by former Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks. Kendricks is now employed by the Cleveland Browns after being released by Philadelphia in May.
Fun fact: Bennett is the first Eagles defensive lineman to wear No.
