Meek Mill released from prison, Eagles players celebrate

Meek Mill has been freed.

The Philadelphia rapper was released from prison on Tuesday afternoon after originally being sentenced to two to four years in prison for parole violation. A lot of people felt Meek Mill’s imprisonment was unjustified, including Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins.

“For somebody to be sentenced two to four years for popping a wheelie, he’s been on probation for 11 years,” Jenkins said in February, via Newsday. “It’s ridiculous. At some point and time, after people have served their time, paid their debt and they want to become productive citizens in our country, we have to take some of these things off them.
