It appears that common sense and sanity might prevail after all.
Deflategate, the enormous waste of time in which the Patriots were caught cheating (again), this time in the 2014 playoffs, went before a three-judge court of appeals to determine if commissioner Roger Goodell’s four-game suspension of Brady was excessive, as Judge Richard Berman ruled in September.
Two of the three judges asked questions that placed them firmly on the side of the NFL, and the third seemed unsympathetic to Brady, at best. They focused their conversation on Brady's knowledge that tampering with equipment was subject to severe punishment; essentially dismissed Brady's testimony as not credible; and were aghast at the conduct of Brady during the investigation.
