The last two seasons with the Eagles have been the best of his career, Malcolm Jenkins said Monday, Jenkins listing one of the main reasons he asked agent Ben Dogra to look into a contract extension. Jenkins spoke just after signing the five-year deal, which a source close to the situation said will pay him $35 million over the first four years, with $21 million guaranteed.
"I told (Dogra) if the feeling's mutual, I'd love to get something longterm done," said Jenkins, a safety and defensive leader who was two years into a three-year, $15.5 million Eagles contract he signed as a New Orleans Saints free agent in 2014.
