SEATTLE — Eagles linebacker Dannell Ellerbe is active for the first time this season on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, taking the place of injured linebacker Joe Walker.

Walker, who suffered a stinger last week, is inactive. The other inactives are tackle Will Beatty, wide receiver Marcus Johnson, defensive end Steven Means, defensive tackle Elijah Qualls, running back Wendell Smallwood, and quarterback Nate Sudfeld.

Ellerbe, 31, could be the middle linebacker in the base defense. He signed with the Eagles on Nov. 13. He’s in his ninth NFL season and has spent the past few weeks learning the defense.
