The Eagles finished 24th in the league in passing yards last season. had a passer rating of 79.3 and only threw for 16 touchdowns. He averaged just 6.2 yards per passing attempt. The receivers only averaged 10 yards per catch and had way too many dropped passes. The passing game needed a lot of work.

The coaches and front office knew they had to make changes. They brought in Nick Foles and Matt McGloin to improve the quarterback room. The front office made sure to improve the depth on the offensive line. The team made big moves at receiver, signing free agents Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith.
