Lane Johnson and Chris Long wear dog masks and ring bell before Sixers playoff game

Down 3-2 with their backs against the wall in their NBA Eastern Conference Semifinal series against the Toronto Raptors, the Philadelphia 76ers made a good call to get their home crowd at the Well Fargo Center hyped up.

The Sixers had the Eagles’ very own Lane Johnson and Chris Long — dog masks included — to be the ceremonial bell ringers prior to Thursday night’s game.

Great choice. The Sixers’ crowd was absolutely electric heading into the first quarter.

The dog masks are very appropriate for a Sixers team that has the odds stacked against them as they try to win in Philadelphia tonight and then again in Toronto on Sunday evening.
