PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The most plausible way for Marcus Mariota to become a Philadelphia Eagles is through an uncommon three-way trade.
The NFL is changing, trades are happening more frequently, and with Chip Kelly anything is possible. Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com explained all of this in a lengthy piece where he examines how four teams—the Eagles, Browns, Chargers, and Rams—could acquire Mariota.
“I could easily foresee a scenario where Kelly flops Bradford in a three-way deal with the Browns, with Cleveland getting the former first-overall pick and the Eagles flipping the first round pick they get for him, plus a future top pick in say 2016 to grab Mariota,” La Canfora wrote.
