The speculation can stop: Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks will not be traded, coach Chip Kelly said Sunday.
"Mychal Kendricks is not going anywhere," Kelly said. "I can tell you that right now. You can write that down in ink, not pencil."
Kelly's assertion came one day after the Eagles traded cornerback Brandon Boykin. Like Boykin, Kendricks was a 2012 draft pick who will be a free agent at the end of the season.
Kendricks was also in trade rumors around the draft, along with Boykin. The Eagles did not deal either one then, but Kelly could not pass up an offer for Boykin on Saturday from the Steelers.
