On Saturday night, after informing Brandon Boykin that he had been traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chip Kelly said the 25-year-old cornerback shook his hand and gave him a hug. But a few hours later, in a text to CSN’s Derrick Gunn, Boykin was singing a different tune.
He joined another recently traded ex-Eagle, running back LeSean McCoy, in suggesting Kelly doesn’t like coaching African-American players. He told Gunn that Kelly is “uncomfortable around grown men of our culture.’’ Told him, “He can’t relate (to black players) and that makes him uncomfortable. He likes to be in total control of everything and he don’t like to be uncomfortable.
