The Minnesota Vikings fired offensive coordinator John DeFilippo, according to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
While the timing might be unexpected, this move isn’t a total shock considering Mike Zimmer’s public dissatisfaction with the Vikings’ offense. Minnesota has only managed to score 17 points in their last two games, which were both losses. (Seven points came in garbage time against the Seahawks on Monday night.)
Flip’s dismissal obviously raises the question: “Should the Eagles bring him back?” It’s certainly a tempting proposition. Carson Wentz was playing at an MVP level with Flip as his quarterback coach last season.
