The New York Jets fired general manager Joe Douglas on Tuesday, according to a report from NFL insider Adam Schefter.
This news comes after the Jets fired Robert Saleh last month. Since then, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich has gone 1-5. What a mess that team is.
Douglas was originally hired by the Jets in June 2019. Prior to that, he served as the Philadelphia Eagles’ vice president of player personnel since 2016.
The Eagles hired Douglas to be the top “football guy” to pair with Howie Roseman as the latter was reinstated following Chip Kelly’s coup.
