The New York Jets will be without starting tight end Chris Herndon when they play the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5 this season. The NFL suspended Herndon for the first four games of 2019 due to a 2018 DUI arrest. (Note that the Jets have a Week 4 bye.)
Losing Herndon is far from ideal for the Jets. As a rookie last year, Herndon finished second on New York in receptions (39), receiving yards (502), and receiving touchdowns (4). He formed a good connection with Jets quarterback Sam Darnold.
