THERE'S A LOT Malcolm Jenkins doesn't know yet about the Eagles' new defensive setup, Jenkins said, but he does know that his play and leadership are valued here. That was enough for Jenkins to seek a new contract, announced at five years, signed on Monday.
"Philly's a team that I really want to be on for a long run . . . I told (agent Ben Dogra) if the feeling's mutual, I'd love to get something long-term done," Jenkins said at a Nova-Care news conference.
A source close to the situation said Jenkins, 28, will make about $35 million over the first four years of the pact, with $21 million guaranteed.
